Alpha OCC-DUCC Silver Co ated Ī± (Alpha) OCC Conductors Featuring NCF & Special forged carbon fiber composite Materials The Project V1 power cord features special connectors, exclusive to this power cord: an IEC connector, UK connector and Cable Damping rings that incorporate Furutechās special antistatic and antiresonance NCF material combined with special high-grade nylon insulation. The housing of the special IEC connector and Damping Rings are formed with 4-layer hybrid NCF carbon fiber finished with a special hardened clear damping coating. The IEC connector side conductors are formed with nonmagnetic rhodium coated Ī±(Alpha) pure copper and the UK connector with nonmagnetic rhodium coated Ī±(Alpha) copper alloy conductors . Both are secured in bodies insulated with Furutechās special antistatic and antiresonance NCF material NCF allows for the transmission of pure uncoloured power delivering improvements in the depth and focus of the sound stage, harmonics, and tonal balance. Low frequencies are cleaner, with a greater sense of definition made possible by a lowered noise floor.

The new design uses double-shielded low noise toroidal transformers inĀ anĀ external supply connected via aviation-grade circular connectors using silver over oxygen-free copper. The power supply is dual mono with two transformers with lower radiated and mechanical noise. Noise is the most prominent part of THD+N at low levels, so by lowering noise we get better resolution and dynamics.
The gain circuitry continues to use our favorite transistors from Toshiba but has a larger, higher biased, output stage like the Xs Preamp, and includes auto bias.
The larger output stage makes longer, and multiple cable runs easier to drive and gives us the advantage of simplifying our single-ended output circuitry while increasing performance.
The volume control is a single stage instead of two stages and has more range;Ā it is quieter and more accurate.Ā ThisĀ isĀ the same volume control as used in the XP-30.
Overall this makes for a quieter,Ā more neutral, musical,Ā and versatile control center for your system.
The XP-22 measures spectacularly wellĀ āĀ but it really stands out sonically.

Glanz S Series Tonearms
Glanz is an old Japanese name warmly welcomed back to the UK ā this is the newly refreshed Glanz S Series tonearm, available in 9ā³, 10ā³ and 12ā³ versions.
Like all Glanz tonearms, constructed mainly from stainless steel parts with obsessive attention to resonance control, and now with an improved counterweight design.
This is, without exception, the finest tonearm that we have ever heard, and the physical quality is simply astonishing.
