Peter, Paul & Mary – Album 1700 – Analogue Productions 180g 45 RPM Vinyl

£75.00
This is a phenomenal reissue of a significant album for the famed folk rock trio. Album 1700, released in 1967, yielded the group’s final hit single (and only No. 1), ā€œLeaving on a Jet Plane.ā€ It also yieldedĀ graceful folk-rock trappings for their repertoire of originals and covers by, among others, Bob Dylan and Eric Anderson, writes David Wolf forĀ Amazon.com.

Ray Charles – Genius + Soul = Jazz 180g Analogue Productions Vinyl

£49.95
"Genius + Soul = Jazz is a winner, now sounding better than ever. I like this reissue so much I'll probably not play my original again since it isn't in quite as nice condition. In fact, I'm not sure if I really need to even keep my original in the collection at this point given the quality of this reissue. And that is probably the best complement I can offer." — Mark Smotroff, Audiophile Review, May 17, 2021.

Ray Charles – Ray Charles – Analogue Productions Atlantic 75 Series 45 rpm 180g Vinyl

Ray Charles’ self-titled 1957 album was one of the first handful of LPs issued by Atlantic (and was later retitled Hallelujah I Love Her So). As AllMusic reviewer Bruce Elder notes, the album is weighted about three to one in favor of Charles’ own compositions, with the hits ā€œHallelujah I Love Her Soā€ and the pounding, soaring ā€œAin’t That Love,ā€ which opens the LP, its raison d’etre.

Roy Haynes – Out Of The Afternoon – Analogue Productions 180g Vinyl

£49.95
Released in the summer of 1962 on Impulse! Records, Out Of The Afternoon is an album by jazz drummer Roy Haynes. It features multi-instrumentalist Roland Kirk among the musicians in the Haynes Quartet.
Roy Haynes was just about everywhere in the golden age of jazz, recording classic albums with some of the most legendary names of the genre: Miles, Coltrane, Monk, Bud Powell, Sarah Vaughan, Sonny Rollins, Eric Dolphy, Milt Jackson, McCoy Tyner and Jackie McLean. The hard-bop-verging-on-post-bop Out Of The Afternoon is an excellent example of the adventurous spirit that was taking flight in the jazz world in the early 1960s.

Shakey Jake – Mouth Harp Blues – Analogue Productions 45RPM 180g 2 LP Vinyl

£72.00
The late James Harris earned the moniker ā€œShakey Jakeā€ due to his proficiency at dice, but he was equally adept at the blues game. The Arkansas-born, Chicago-based singer and harmonica blower traveled to Rudy Van Gelder’s New Jersey studio in November 1960 to record Mouth Harp Blues.. Jake brought along Jimmie Lee Robinson, the brilliant, fast-fingered guitarist best known for his work with Little Walter’s band. Also making tasty contributions to the session was Robert Banks, the New York R&B and gospel studio organist who, in this case, ably appointed himself as a two-fisted blues piano stylist. Among the 10 selections is the distinctively loping ā€œEasy Baby,ā€ a tune also associated with Jake’s nephew Magic Sam.

Steely Dan – Aja – Analogue Productions Hybrid Stereo SACD

£49.95
A record by Elvis, produced in Tennessee. What’s so special about that? Surely everyone knows that the King sobbed his early songs into the local radio microphones. But From Elvis in Memphis is far more than just one of around 40 albums which he produced during the course of 35 years. ā€œThis marks what is probably the most impressive comeback in the entire history of pop music,ā€ enthused the normally reticent New York Times.
