Marantz SA-8005 SACD/CD Player

The Marantz SA8005 is an excellent stereo SACD Player featuring great versatility.
Using symmetrical circuits with high-quality components, it faithfully reproduces a wide sound stage with precise information. The loading mechanism is designed to drastically reduce resonance and the reduced distortion spectrum gets the very best of audio quality from SACDs.
The SA8005 includes a DAC-mode, with optical and coaxial digital input as well as USB-B for direct connection to your PC. This means you can use the player's high-quality DAC and the high-quality audio output stage to get the best playback from digital sources. The player's ground/signal isolator technology virtually eliminates PC noise. The player operates as a soundcard for the PC and the USB-B port works in asynchronous mode to support not only 192 kHz/24bits but also the DSD 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz for maximized versatility and performance. All these different sources use the same excellent audio processing, so all your music will be lush, energetic, and detailed, whatever the source.

The Nakamichi Amplifier 2 is an integrated amplifier with a focus on sound quality, with harmonic time alignment technology at the core.
The Harmonic Time Alignment Theory was developed by Steve Kalison of the Nakamichi US Research Center as a result of many years of research focusing on the characteristics of NFB itself. It directly addresses the timing of the fundamental sound and the distortion component and the action of NFB.
In Amplifier2, a newly developed amplifier circuit based on this theory is used in both the preamplifier and power amplifier sections. This circuit has a wide-band, low-gain open-loop design that keeps the amount of NFB in the audio band constant and suppresses the amount of NFB itself slightly. This circuit combines techniques that correctly adjust the phases of the fundamental sound and distortion components over the entire audio band.
