Thanks to the separation of signal transmission and mechanical stability, it is now possible to use optimum materials for the first time. Signals are transmitted using high-purity copper, one of the best electrical conductors. Copper has severe mechanical limitations, however, and its use is only permitted by an ingenious combination with high-performance plastics. The copper surface is naturally gold-plated to prevent corrosion.
Moreover, the soul of the new binding post WBT-0710 Cu mC is of one-piece design, removing all unnecessary transition resistance. The signal conductor is embedded in a matrix of fibre glass and mineral reinforced plastic and equipped with an anti-magnetic stainless steel strut for perfect strain relief. An additional elastomer damping ring keeps oscillations away from the contact level and successfully suppresses any kind of contact microphonics.

The impact sound interrupter WBT-0718 has been developed to solve a problem which is generally known. And this is the problem of contact microphony.
Constant vibrations, i.e. caused by the impact sound of a loudspeaker cabinet inevitably affect all contact elements. Fluctuations in the transition resistances are the result.These fluctuations result in clearly audible non-linear distortions. Non-linear distortions are incalculable and hence they cannot be corrected. Those who set a high value on high-end inevitably have to deal with this problem.
WBT impact sound interrupter comes into operation in the decisive spot – it acts as an interrupter of the impact sound, and thus it releases contact elements.
WBT-0725 Ag / WBT-0725 Cu Signature Power Bridge / Topline Power Bridge
The power bridges have been designed for bi-wiring in line with our nextgen™ technology. The conductor material consists of pure copper (Cu) or fine silver (Ag) which gives the bridges excellent conductivity. Oxidation of the surface is prevented by the gold plating of the copper version and platinum plating of the silver version. A transparent Makrolon insulation provides 100 % contact protection and CE- and IEC conformity. The WBT-0725 is additionally equipped with inlaid Elastomer for vibration damping.
These power bridges can be used with all WBT pole terminals (except the WBT-0702 versions). It is of the utmost importance to respect the vertical distance between the pole terminals to be connected (see below):
