Revival Audio – Sprint 3 Loudspeakers

£990.00
The dictionary describes “sound” as “vibrations that travel through the air”. But to us, it’s so much more than that. We believe that sound is a science and an art, which we strived to take to the next level through SPRINT.  Just as with our ATALANTE line, the SPRINT affordable speaker range was developed in collaboration with A+A Cooren Design, a Le French Design 100 Award-winning French studio in Paris. When conceptualising SPRINT, it didn’t take us long to determine what we had to do. We wanted to build a speaker that embodied modern French elegance, coupled with classic aesthetic minimalism. After many months of refinement and finessing, we are finally ready to bring SPRINT to the world.  The ”ELYTRON” makes SPRINT incredibly unique, with its organic shape and concealed grill covers at the back. ELYTRON’s colour was specially selected to match all three SPRINT finishes – Walnut, Blonde Oak, and Matte Black.  Every minute detail and nuance was designed with purpose to create a visual and auditory experience like no other. From the golden ratio of the cabinet, to the special-picked vinyl, SPRINT was built to make listening a pleasure every single day.

Arnett Cobb – Ballads By Cobb – Analogue Productions 180g Stereo Vinyl

£49.95
Originally released in November 1960, Ballads by Cobb, as its title suggests, is all slow ballads, putting the emphasis on the Texas tenor’s warm tone.
A Texas tenor player in the tradition of Illinois Jacquet, Arnett Cobb’s accessible playing was between swing and early rhythm & blues. His stomping, robust style earned him the title “Wild Man of the Tenor Sax.”

Sonny Rollins – Rollins Plays For Bird – Analogue Productions 180g (Mono) Vinyl

£49.95
As the tenor sax is not in the same key as an alto, Sonny Rollins would have to transpose a lot of music to take a tribute to Charlie Parker to a high level. Instead Rollins has chosen standards associated with Parker, and recorded them within a year after Bird’s passing.

Alan Parsons Project – Eye in the Sky – MOFI SACD

£42.00
Mastered From The Original Master Tapes: Sacd Presents The Music’s Hallmark Smoothness, Lushness, And Detail In Reference Sound
The opening track to the Alan Parsons Project’s Eye in the Sky remains the most recognized instrumental in sports – fanfare inseparably tied with introducing NBA legend Michael Jordan and his six-time world-champion Chicago Bulls mates before games, and still used by many teams as an energy-raising prelude. Indeed, the subdued grandiosity, cosmic bluster, and lights-out wonder of “Sirius” also sets the table for the band’s smash 1982 album, whose hallmark smoothness, lushness, and balance reach epic heights on Mobile Fidelity’s reissue.
