Melco N10/2 Audiophile Music Storage System
The N10/2 is a two-box solution designed to improve sound quality by separating the unit’s power supply from the sensitive ‘head’ unit.
A half-width design, like the entry-level N100, the N10/2 offers easy placement in the home, but with the sound quality benefits of the enhanced N10 solid aluminium chassis and upgraded internals, plus the linear power supply.
Furthermore, the N10/s is available in two distinct varieties: a 5 TB HDD or a premium 3.84 TB SSD version.

Thanks to the separation of signal transmission and mechanical stability, it is now possible to use optimum materials for the first time. Signals are transmitted using high-purity copper, one of the best electrical conductors. Copper has severe mechanical limitations, however, and its use is only permitted by an ingenious combination with high-performance plastics. The copper surface is naturally gold-plated to prevent corrosion.
Moreover, the soul of the new binding post WBT-0710 Cu mC is of one-piece design, removing all unnecessary transition resistance. The signal conductor is embedded in a matrix of fibre glass and mineral reinforced plastic and equipped with an anti-magnetic stainless steel strut for perfect strain relief. An additional elastomer damping ring keeps oscillations away from the contact level and successfully suppresses any kind of contact microphonics.

Ruby Z upgrades this famous model to full “S Class” status. It features the new Zebra wood body, second only to Ebony for its resonance characteristics, offering bass weight and pitch definition, midrange linearity and high frequency clarity with a natural musicality. The new Micro Ridge stylus is featured, providing enhanced tracking, resolution and groove integrity. The generator is based on the Ruby square plate and output is .35mV. The Ruby Z low output is best used with phono stages offering greater than 60dB gain, loaded at 400 ohms or higher. The Ruby Zebra cartridge weighs only 10.6 grams, making it ideal for a wide range of tonearms, including today’s state-of-the-art, and vintage models lacking the energy control, bearing designs, or counter-weight range.
