Silver plating improves conductivity, silver is the best conductor of electrons known to man. Silver plated fuses from cooper bussmann the world leader in UK plug fuses.
We have stocks of 3 amp, 5 amp, and 13 amp, please specify which rating is required when ordering. These fuses fit inside standard UK mains plugs.
In addition the end caps are hand polished with a silver cleaning cloth to remove surface contaminants prior to dispatch and we then treat them with Caig De-Oxit contact cleaner to prevent oxidation.

“Just changed all the fuses in my system mains plugs and mains block cable plug with these and the sound seems more balanced and completely grain free. I had already replaced the double MK switched mains socket which I use for my system with a MS HD gold plated unswitched double socket, that proved to be the cheapest most cost effective upgrade that I have ever made to my system and the addition of these silver plated fuses in the mains plugs just enhances those improvements. I am currently using a Russ Andrews mains block and power cables ( old but were the best they did at the time) except for Naim Amps and PSU where I am currently using the Naim supplied mains leads ( my Naim gear doesn’t seem to like the old Russ Andrews cables that I have). I would recommend anyone serious about the sound from their HIFI system to make these basic mains upgrades. I also purchased some gold plated fuses which I have yet to try, also Deoxit which I did clean up plugs with.”
