Furutech NCF Booster

NCF – Nano Crystal² Formula – Nano Crystalline, Ceramic and Carbon Powder

Incorporated into select Furutech products, Nano Crystal² Formula — NCF is comprised of a special crystalline material that has two “active” properties. First, it generates negative ions that eliminate static and secondly, it converts thermal energy into far-infrared. Furutech then combines this remarkable crystalline material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for their additional “Piezo Effect” damping properties. The resulting Nano Crystal² Formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material.

Cable holders (also known as supports, lifters, risers or elevators) are generally designed to improve the performance of audio cables by minimising their points of contact with the floor, reducing electromagnetic interference. Furutech say that their NCF Booster, however, goes even further.

As its name suggests, a key ingredient in the NCF Booster is Furutech’s Nano² Crystal Formula (NCF), an ‘active’ anti-resonance damping material. Developed by, and exclusive to, Furutech, NCF features a special crystalline material that they claim has two active properties. First, that it generates negative ions that eliminate static. Second, that it converts thermal energy into far infrared. Furutech combines this material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for their additional piezoelectric damping properties. Furutech claim that the resulting Nano Crystal²Formula delivers superb electrical and mechanical damping and that the effect of that damping, particularly when applied to the critical junction between mains plug and socket, is to reduce audible noise significantly.
