Phasemation EA-550 Phono Monoblocks (Pair)

£6,995.00

A pair of highly sophisticated phono monoblocks (2 units), all discreet, all-stage symmetric non-feedback circuit that draws out the music’s reality and the artist’s passion

The design brief for the EA 550 was to eliminate the smallest discrepancies by utilising a pair of semiconductor phono amplifiers. In addition, the built-in MC transformer was newly designed incorporating a special split winding structure that uses a high pure copper wire PC-TripleC as the secondary winding material.

Description

Main Features

Strong chassis structure of a 2 unit box with Lch and Rch being independent and completely monaural.

V-I / I-V conversion type all-stage symmetrical non-feedback amplifying circuit due to all discreet parts.

Three input terminals are equipped and MM/MC switching is possible for each. In addition, inputs 1 and 2 support balanced inputs due to the XLR connector.

A 2nd order CR type low cut filter with non-feedback is equipped. Plays warped phonograph records without any music deterioration and prevents the speakers (woofers) from shaking.

Three types of playing curve changeover switches are equipped. For the equalizer characteristics, along with the RIAA characteristics for the previous stereo, Mono1 (used on the DECCA label and so forth) and Mono2 (used on the Colombia label and so forth) are equipped as a particular characteristic for a monaural. This will allow higher fidelity playback than the DECCA and Columbia labels.

A “degaussed” circuit is equipped.
By choosing “degauss” with the functions and playing the record for about 30 seconds, the MC cartridge with a metal core that was magnetized is degaussed and the sound quality becomes clear.

Clearaudio Accus Plus Battery-Powered Power Supply

Original price was: £800.00.Current price is: £400.00.
Battery power supply for 'Plus' phono preamplifiers : BASIC +, SYMPHONO +, BALANCE + The innovative option of this Clearaudio Accu+ power supply resides in the fact that Clearaudio uses state-of-the-art next-generation NIMH batteries as power supply source. This technology delivers a very clean current, without any unwanted noise and distortion on the audio signal. When combined with a Clearaudio phono preamplifier of the range 'Plus', we were surprised by the level of transparency and the dynamics of this Accu Plus battery-powered power supply. It brings the performances of the manufacturer's great preamplifiers to a whole new level!

Clearaudio Basic V2 Phono Stage

Original price was: £1,140.00.Current price is: £740.00.
There’s nothing basic about the basic V2 phono stage. Don’t be fooled by its cool, minimalist design. Within that sleek aluminum casing (with silver or black anodized finish) lies an inner world of highly refined features. Its predecessor, the basic plus, was a multiaward winner and with the V2 we’ve taken all of that coveted ‘Plus’ technology up a notch.

Ex-Dem Canor AI 2.10 Integrated Hybrid Amplifier

CANOR AI 2.10 is a hybrid integrated amplifier with an output power of 2 x 150 W / 4 Ω. Complete with all original packaging. Retails at £3250 selling for £2750

First Watt F7 Power Amplifier

£4,000.00
The F7 is a very unique power amplifier.
Aa two-stage push-pull JFET/MOSFET topology with fewer parts than any First Watt amplifier to date and incorporating a very interesting balance of very low negative voltage feedback and a little bit of positive current feedback to give an astonishing measure of control over reactive loudspeaker loads.

First Watt SIT-4 Power Amplifier

£4,995.00
The SIT-4 is the First Watt power amplifier using the industrial grade Static Induction Transistors. It is preceded by the ground breaking SIT-1, 2, and 3 and follows their technical philosophy and construction. An important difference in the SIT-4 is the SIT device itself. The previous three designs used Silicon Carbide to make a custom vertical power Jfet with a low impedance Drain whose character nicely emulated a power Triode tube, but directly operating at the current and voltage that would drive loudspeakers without the requirement for an output transformer. SITs lend themselves to high quality audio performance with very simple Class A circuits with little or no dependence on other active circuit elements or negative feedback.

First Watt Sit-5 Power Amplifier

£4,995.00
The SIT-5 is the most recent amplifier produced by First Watt, and is the fifth to use a Static Induction Transistor (SIT) as the power amplifying device. In 2011 we introduced our first SIT amplifier using a custom Silicon Carbide (SiC) transistor part made by SemiSouth. The amplifier also used a single power device, operating without feedback in single-ended Class A Common-Source mode to deliver 10 watts of power emulating the characteristic of a Triode, but operating at voltage and currents directly needed by loudspeakers, eliminating the output transformer.
