MCRU have taken out reference silver plated bussmann fuses and plated them with 24ct gold of pristine quality.
Our plater has over 50 years experience and the finish of the fuses is exceptional.
Gold plating improves conductivity, these fuses are silver plated and then gold plated over the top for a far better performance compared to standard tin plated fuses.

“Like most of you I’ve read and digested reviews about how things like this can make your system sound so much better and probably like most I’ve instantly thought “snake oil”, well I bit the bullet and because I wouldn’t be losing too much money when they don’t make a difference and at least I’d have shiny fuses I bought and installed them, after firing up some 24/192 flac files that I know very well within the first few bars of the first track I was floored by how much deeper and clearer the bass was, I use one track in particular which has very fast kick bass and floor toms, honestly I’ve never heard each beat start and stop so clearly the vocals were as if I was having a private concert in my room, now I know this will stupid because lets face it how can a fuse make so much difference, it was almost as if I’d bought either new speakers or an amp, but believe me it has, even a friend who I called round to listen wouldn’t believe that it wasn’t through a new bit of kit so I swapped the old one back in and it was back to the old sound, he’s convinced and is ordering some and so should you, the biggest upgrade for the least money in my system “

“I have only a small amount of money to spend on hi-fi upgrades so purchases need to be careful and prudent. I purchased three of these to fit into existing Wireworld and Ecosse (mid-range) leads. My set up includes a Panasonic Plasma TV with Kandy K2 Amp and Audiolab CD. Never mind any burning in period! The improvements to sound and picture were instant! Watching ‘True Detective’ on Blu ray the picture has improved in all aspects – dynamic range is increased and blacks are simply fantastic – more fine details have emerged for example in episode 7 on the boat I can now see all sort of blemishes and skin imperfections on the sheriff’s arms. Sound has benefitted most of all especially I think with the bass performance. I put on a CD of the soundtrack to ‘Edge of tomorrow’ and my B+W 685’s started growling at me! I have been using these excellent speakers for years in this set up and the improvements are very obvious. In conclusion these fuses are a ridiculously good upgrade for pennies.”
