Been a power cable sceptic since I first saw mains leads that cost more than my entire system. I figured 50 quid was a fair price to prove it to myself one way or another. Hooked it up to a Schiit Mjolnir 2 and found that A/B testing against the standard kettle lead was a waste of time, the difference was startling. More detail, wider soundstage and extra mid bass thump. Bit of a blessing in disguise as now every other component is crying out for one. A great 50 quid upgrade that feels extra special ‘cos you made it yourself.

I bought this to replace a ‘kettle lead’ to a new turntable power supply. It was fun and enjoyable to make and I think it looks as good as any ready made lead. The most important thing though is that I tried it as the main power lead to the system and the difference was fantastic. It gave a more spacious, cleaner and detailed sound. It now replaces a much more expensive lead from another manufacturer and the only downside is that I’m going to have replace all of the other similar leads. Well done from a very impressed customer.
