For the last 20+ years, Belden 19364 has been the number one cable choice for audiophiles wishing to construct their own mains leads. It was discovered by Bob Crump of TG Audio Labs in the 1980s, and has since been extensively used to produce high-quality hi-fi and home cinema cables.
The cable is constructed from 3 x 2.08mm (14 AWG) oxygen-free copper conductors and incorporates the patented Beldfoil® Shield (which is in constant contact with the internal drain wire). This forms a ground loop to trap unwanted mains interference and keep it safely at the plug end of the cable, away from interaction with any equipment. Previously I was using another well known mains cable on my Arcam CD72 and it was pretty good but this cable blows it out of the water. Spatially, there’s no contest and bass definition is much better. To illustrate, before installing this cable, Lossless and CD playback were in the same ballpark. Now there is a significant difference and I’ve lost myself in my CD collection today.

GREAT Cable
I got two metres of this for an old ITL MA80 amp. Which was good to start with. This cable made a whole lot more difference. After a few hours the depth and warmth of my old amp came flooding in. Gets better every day,

I bought this cable to mount a pair of power cords for my receiver and my blu ray. It’s amazing how the difference appears already in the first moments. More vivid images in the video and sound more open and defined, with excellent background silence coming from my Marantrz. Now just plan future upgrades,,,

I ordered 6 metres to wire 8 items, 4 cyrus x200s cyrus pre xp cyrus psxr cyrus steam x, audiolab mdac and mcru power supply.
Instantly there was a more focused and solid sound. I had tried cables listed as £200 each for trial. I was disappointed. This lot for under £200 with the connectors, absolutely superb

Immediate improvement
I’d already upgraded to more expensive cables to power my Heed dt, da, and si integrated amp, and decided to try this for the x2 outboard psu that supplies the power amp. There was an immediate increase in pitch definition, which was audible even before I’d put my laptop into sleep mode to stop the fan noise. Later, I found I could hear improvements from just about any track from any CD, and was going through my collection over the following weeks. The bass was tight, transients were crisper, and with the increased resolution intros and quiet passages became even more impressive, and low-level detail on loud passages was easier to hear. It gets better, and is certainly not one of those upgrades that you soon get used to. When I go back to a standard lead, pitch becomes blurred and the bass is less controlled.

Great Improvement whether your going to use with HiFi or home cinema. Pound for pound I don’t think you’ll get better for the money unless your prepared to part with a lot more cash.
