The Generic Fuse
Traditionally, one of the weakest points in any typical component is the fuse. This is because standard electrical fuses do not take into account the needs of a high quality audio or video system as they are typically made from:
- Thin glass tube body: microphonic issues
- Low-grade metal spiral wire: microphonics, added inductance and power degradation issues
- Low-grade metal end caps: poor contact, power degradation issues.

Amazing fuses. I tried silver ones elsewhere, HiFiTuning etc and nothing compares to the sheer BODY you get with these fuses.
It’s surprising how much these things affect the sound. Especially when you turn them around to see if the direction is right!

Despite all the scepticism I see and hear my brain tells me a fuse made of better quality materials and assembly should make a difference somewhere, a bit like paying more to tune your car? I am in no way shape or form an audiophile big spender and the cost of these fuses seem just right at the moment to tune my home cinema experience. It’s early days yet but I’m already seeing subtle improvements in picture and sound quality. Many thanks MCRU. 🙂
