Mains Cables R Us exhibited at the Audio World Show in Manchester. Organized by The Chester Group who also hold the excellent Whittlebury Show every year in September, Audio World is smaller in comparison with less than 30 rooms. We do however expect it to be larger next year as we class it as a success based upon the number of visitors we saw in our room despite the bad weather. Our room had a steady stream of audiophiles throughout both days, many of whom had braved the weather to support the hifi industry and it’s dealers. The trade were also in attendance, particularly Mr Noel Keywood of Hi-Fi World magazine who travelled far to attend the show and report for his magazine.

This is the first time MCRU have exhibited in a listening room, prior to this our attendance at all the major hi-fi shows has been via an open stand where we showcase our range of hifi accessories but as we expand into hardware such as the excellent range of Canor amplifiers and CD players and the IsoTek Systems range of power conditioners we took this opportunity to demo a complete system in one of the larger rooms. Not forgetting where we came from, all the usual plugs, cables and connectors were available at the back of the room for customers to browse and purchase.

The hifi system we compiled was powered by the mighty IsoTek Genesis which is perfect for a hotel room as it takes the mains feed and creates an entirely new, extremely low-distortion mains sine wave using multiple generators – a unique component, and uniquely effective. We also utilized the IsoTek Super Titan which is a perfect accompaniment to the Genesis.
