The Ultimate Technics SL1200/1210 Turntable Upgrade Kit

The SL1200/1210 was first sold in 1972 and over 3 million were sold until 2010 when production ceased and began again in 2016 with the new models costing substantially more than the models they replaced.

At MCRU we have owned possibly over 30 SL1200’s throughout our time as audiophiles. What we have learned over this time period is just how good a properly up-graded Techy can sound. Not everyone wants to strip the turntable down in order to up-grade it and many owners are not sure what the best up-grades are to get the best possible performance from this humble DJ deck.

Luckily we have the knowledge and expertise to guide you on the right path and dependent on your available budget we have the required skills to make your Techy sing!

MCRU offer a clear up-grade path and offer either the parts to fit yourself or we will fit them for you, test the turntable and return it via insured courier. Please note this is not a cheap service as our skill needs to be paid for at the appropriate rate and some improvements take many hours to fit and tune properly.

Rest assured whatever up-grades you decide upon when you compare them to the stock Technics deck, the sound quality is usually in a different league.

This is our best up-grade kit for the deck, you can install it yourself or drop off your deck or deliver it to us and we will install free of charge. This usually takes 4-5 days.

Funk Firm Boing feet (the best feet by far as they use metal springs instead of rubber rings for suspension)

Hexmat Eclipse record mat ( a new design of mat we have tested ourselves and its the best Techy mat we have ever heard)

MCRU Pinnacle regulated linear power supply (our very best performing power supply takes the deck to new sonic heights)
