A new design fully regulated linear power supply in custom designed casework suitable for up to 5 amps current draw. Standard configuration is 12V DC output, this can be adjusted to suit the customers equipment. The case is a custom design which is much smaller than our existing 5 amp supplies and can be located on your equipment rack on a shelf or behind the equipment.
Replacing the supplied switching (SMPS) power supply that comes bundled with your new equipment with a fully regulated linear design brings tangible sonic improvements easily heard and proven by 100’s of existing customer feed-backs.
Suitable for small music servers, NAS drives and Macbooks and Mac Minis. The new Chord MScaler and Hugo TT2 will also work very well with this new power supply.
Multi award winning design, made in the UK by Longdog Audio.
As standard the unit ships with a basic power cord to suit your country (EU-USA-AUS-UK) and is configured by us to suit your countries mains voltage. The DC cable is terminated with the correct connector for your chosen equipment, simply attach, plug in and hear the improvements immediately.

Superb upgrade for my Pathos Aurium headphone amplifier.
This is quite a substantial brick of an object (approx 20cm wide, 25cm deep, 10cm high), and needs room to breathe as it runs fairly warm, so don’t expect to be hiding this down the back of a desk like the usual PSU bricks.
The Pathos is already a very easy listen with great separation and detail. Adding the MCRU XLRC (Standard version) into the equation has resulted in better detail retrieval, better texture, better imaging and overall a much greater, effortless sense of space and scale.
The most immediate noticeable change for me was listening to the latest Craft Recordings remastered CD of John Lee Hooker’s Burnin’. The first 12 tracks of the CD are stereo and sound phenomenal anyway. Every time I get to track 13 and the eleven tracks of the mono version of the album I have switched off. It’s sounded flat and compressed by comparison. Now with the XLRC in place, I listened to the entire CD. The mono now sounds spacious, lively and detailed. A huge improvement.
Nick Drake’s ‘Way To Blue’ compilation (Island, 1994 CD) had always sounded a little compressed and flat, it now sounds rich, detailed and spacious. Very noticeably better all round.
I can’t speak for the deluxe version, but this standard one is a great investment.
