Highly recommended upgrade for your SL-1200/1210
The idea of outsourcing the PSU never really convinced me except for the fact that you would remove a source of possible disturbances for the cartridge as some people reported. A few years ago the choice of affordable PSU was very low. With this MCRU PSU I found a power supply within an acceptable price range and I thought I could give it a try. The first impression is very promising. Solid build, good connectors and cables indicate a quality product. Installing the PSU following the provided instructions is relatively easy and should be doable for most people. Then you should give the PSU a few hours time to unfold its sonic qualities. Yes, it needs some time even though I’m not an advocate of these burn in theories. In my opinion this upgrade was just as important as a new tonearm on the upgrade path list. My suggestions to turn this product from a top product into an absolutely unbeatable deal is to include better photos with the instructions, add the instructions for the power switch plus the cables.
